Cabochon Amethyst & 9ct Yellow Gold Unusual Handmade Ring Edinburgh 1992
An unusual, handmade cocktail ring dated Edinburgh 1992. Comprising an oval cabochon of purple amethyst in a rubover yellow gold surround with leaves and berries detail around the setting. The band and tapered shoulders consist of gold wire work of a layered construction. An unusual piece of standout vintage jewellery.
Ring Size: T (UK). Amethyst: 12mm x 10mm. Setting Measurements: 22mm (W) x 12mm (D). Band Width: 4mm. Weight: 9.27g.
Hallmarked 9ct gold (375) Edinburgh 1992 'LDL' maker's mark.
Very good condition. The gold work has been refurbished. There are some light marks/ scratches to the amethyst consistent with age and general wear & tear.
