Certified Diamonds & Diamond Grading Reports

At Louis Meyer, many of our diamond and gemstone pieces have independent grading reports supplied by globally recognised gemmological laboratories, providing an assessment of their quality, authenticity and individual characteristics which determine their value. 

These institutions are independent, often not for profit and exist solely to uphold international standards in diamond and gemstone grading which in turn protects consumers and retailers alike. They do not sell or source stones and as independent organisations, results cannot be influenced by members of the jewellery trade. 

The most notable institutions are GIA (Gemmological Institute of America). HRD Antwerp. IGI (International Gemmological Institute). EGL (European Gemmological Laboratory). AnchorCert UK (Part of The Birmingham Assay Office Group).

As an official AnchorCert UK retailer, we submit selected pieces from our collection to AnchorCert -the only professional gemmological laboratory in the UK, with an ISO 17025 accreditation from UKAS. Part of the Birmingham Assay Office Group, they uphold the highest and most rigorous standards in diamond and gemstone testing and grading, using the globally accepted benchmarks devised by GIA (Gemmological Institute of America) who are regarded as the leading gemstone authority worldwide.
