An early round brilliant cut diamond solitaire ring. Comprising a natural 1.84ct transitional cut diamond mounted in an eight claw setting with open gallery and cheneer shoulder detail, extending to a 2.5 mm wide slight tapered band.

A beautiful vintage diamond, well proportioned with a wonderful display of fire and brilliance. Transitional cuts appeared in jewels dating from around the 1920's to the mid 1940's and were a bridge in cutting style between old European cut diamonds and the modern round brilliant cut.
