Pre- owned. A 9ct yellow gold secondhand Claddagh ring. This classic Irish Claddagh ring comprises the heart, clasped hands and crown integral to a 6mm wide band. Made of soid polished yellow gold it is a large heavyweight example.
The Claddagh ring belongs to a European style of rings known as 'fede rings', deriving from the phrase 'hands joined in faith'. Traditionally, the Claddagh ring is regarded as the Irish engagement or wedding ring. The heart represents love, the crown loyalty and the clasped hands symbolize friendship.
